The office of the Dean of Strategic Planning and Academic Resources works closely with the Dean of Faculty, the Vice President for Finance, the Dean of the College, and the Vice President for Computing and Information Services in order to bridge the academic, financial, and technological dimensions of Vassar College.

The office of the Dean of Strategic Planning and Academic Resources is responsible for supervising academic support areas of the college, including Admissions and Financial Aid, Athletics, the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center, the Libraries, and the Wimpfheimer Nursery School/Infant-Toddler Center, as well as for coordinating the college’s long-range planning efforts and the allocation of resources, including faculty compensation. In addition, the office is responsible for all academic facilities and for faculty housing.

In supervising the academic support areas, our mission is to ensure and to strengthen their integration into Vassar’s learning and teaching missions. In coordinating long-term planning for the college, the office promotes a vision of an educational community in which we collaboratively establish our priorities in keeping with a wide-spread understanding of the goals of a liberal arts education.
